Timothy Wickman – Managing Director

Aptness commenced 1 July 2015 after Timothy Wickman decided that he needed to impact the industry from a business level rather than continuing as an employee within the industry, despite holding senior management roles. Aptness placed as a finalist in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards 2017 for Services.
Timothy become a thought leader within the Facilities Management industry and challenged industry standards, safety systems, leading innovations, improved processes, tested and stamped best practices and drove maintenance strategies for the success of his clients and the industry.
Timothy brings more than 20 Years of extensive experience from the facilities management sector as his career commenced in this field in 1996 overseeing the delivery of operations and projects for various contracts across Australia.
He has successfully lead facility management teams across Australia for residential, commercial, and industrial portfolios for both government and private sectors. His portfolio of experience consists of significant Australian buildings known as Governor Phillip & Macquarie Towers, Town Hall House, Customs House, NAB House, Angel Place, Collins Place, Sydney Police Centre, NSW Police Academy, 33 Alfred Street, 50 Bridge Street, KPMG Building, Ernst & Young and ANZ Sydney.
His success has been based on strategic thinking, continual learning, a consultative approach, and active industry engagements via integrated partnering with his clients and service providers.
He is known for being a strong leader with an aptitude for providing solutions for systems, processes, risks, reporting, productivity, and critical business problems.
Timothy is passionate about upskilling the industry through shared knowledge & experience and his mission now is to see the profile and value of a Facilities Manager recognised and respected for the important role they have for achieving exceptional Asset Management.
